In het weekeinde van 9 maart 2024 werd Johan getroffen door een beroerte, gelukkig kon hij vrij snel naar huis om daar te revalideren. De revalidatie gaat voorspoedig, maar langzaam. We realiseren ons dat het veel erger had kunnen zijn, waarvoor we heel dankbaar zijn. Het betekent wel dat er nu geen reis mogelijk is; we vertrouwen dat het herstel dusdanig is dat een afscheidsreis in de toekomst toch kan plaatsvinden.

During the weekend of March 9th, 2024 Johan had a stroke; fortunately, after a couple of days he was allowed to come home for further revalidation. The progress is good, but slow; at the same time, we realize that it could have been much worse for which we are very grateful. It means that a trip at the moment is out of the question, but we are trusting that the goodbye-trip still will be possible in the future.
